A little about me: I'm 20 years old and have 14 nieces and nephews and one on the way. I graduated from Marshall High School in 2005. I work in the Learning Success Center as the Receptionist. I love to listen to the radio and talk on the phone. My favorite thing to do is go to the movies, mall, and bowling. My birth day is on July 8. I'm the type of person that likes to help people whenever they are in need. My favorite food is pizza and nachos. What I plan on doing after I graduate from college with an associate degree in Multimedia is move to Dallas - Fort Worth to work.

Name: Mallory Waugh
Home Town: The big ole city of Marshall, TX
Major: English and Psychology
Tutoring Subject: English, Humanities, Reading, Psychology and Math
A little about me: I love all types of music, but I do have a few favorite band; among these bands/singers are: Dashboard Confessional, Something Corporate, Ella Fitzgerald, Type O Negative, and Johnny Cash. My favorite foods are pickles, green beans and my homemade peach preserves! Watching films is also one of my passions, so it is difficult to limit myself to only one or two movies, but those would be Amelie, Kill Bill, Annie Hall, and Spirited Away. Since I am an English Major, reading is my passion. The Waste Land, A portrait of the Artist as a Young Man and Lolita will change your life! MY favorite quote: "To burn always with this hard, gem like flame, to maintain this ecstasy, is success in life. - Walter Pater"
Best Study Tip: For a class where you need to memorize facts or figures, flash cards are important! If you're writing a research or other kind of paper, it is a good idea to type the first draft, print it, and make revisions (multiple!) by hand. After writing the revisions, then go back to the typed paper and change the paper on the computer!

A little about me: I am twenty-five years old and this is my fourth semester here at TSTC, I am also a Phi Theta Kappa member. I have a three year old son who keeps me busy and I am getting married in June. When I do have a little spare time I like to do scrap booking.
My Best Study Tip Is: Study the hardest subject first. Work on your hardest subjects at a time when you are fresh. Putting them off until you're tired compounds the problem.

Major: Computer Aided Drafting
Tutoring Subject: Developmental Math
A little about me: I'm 32 yrs. old, and kind of laid back and easy going. I am missing my right leg from a motorcycle accident and I'm currently learning to use a prosthetic leg. Before the accident I was a chef for 8 yrs. I have at least three semesters to go before I get my CAD degree. I live in Marshall with two dogs and two cats and a degu. I enjoy reading and usually have my nose in a book.
My Best Study Tip Is: Don't be afraid to ask your teachers questions. Also, talk to other students in your class, sometimes a fellow student can explain a concept or idea in a way that helps you understand.
