TSTC expects all students to engage in scholastic pursuits in a manner that is beyond reproach. Students are expected to maintain complete honesty and integrity. Any student found guilty of scholastic dishonesty is subject to disciplinary action. Scholastic dishonesty includes, but is not limited to, cheating on academic work, plagiarism, and collusion.
Discipline for scholastic dishonesty follows the same course as other disciplinary actions, except the appropriate faculty member considers and reviews the case first. The student may appeal the faculty member's decision to the program chairman or department head and then to the Dean of Student Learning. If the student is not satisfied with the Dean of Student Learning decision, he/she may follow the normal disciplinary appeal procedures. Students are not suspended from class or from the College until they have received due process. |
