Step Five: Registration
TSTC Marshall is currently offering courses through the Virtual College of Texas. The Virtual College of Texas (VCT) is a collaborative of 50 community colleges and the Texas State Technical College System. Through VCT, students register at TSTC Marshall to take distance learning courses from other colleges throughout Texas. Online courses are TSTC Marshall courses with the exception that the instructor resides at another college. Students register at TSTC, pay TSTC tuition, attend class online, and receive college credit at TSTC. Now that you have successfully completed Steps One through Four you can sign up for a course.

- Find your course(s)
- Visit the Virtual College of Texas at www.vct.org
- Select "Schedule" from the menu options.
- Click on "View Course Listings".
- "Select a semester to view:" from the drop down box.
- Click on "Submit" and it will take you into the Course Listing for the semester you selected.
- Decide which courses you would like take.
Course Information
If you registered for an online course by phone, you must visit www.vct.org and print your course information, from the Catalog section. Course information sheets contain start and end dates, instructor information, textbook information and any other information specific to your course.
- Program Advisor
If you are in a technical program, you are required to contact your program advisor and discuss your schedule.
- Registration
- Complete the application process at TSTC Marshall.
- Contact TSTC Marshall at 923-3302 or come by Room 241 in the South Building at TSTC Marshall.
- We will "Reserve" a virtual seat for you in the course of your choice and register you at TSTC Marshall.
- Payment
- Stop by the TSTC student receivables and/or the Financial Aid Office and pay your tuition.
- Make sure you read "Tips and Techniques for Success"
First Day of Class
It is very important that you log in to your course(s) on the FIRST DAY of class and keep doing so EVERY DAY thereafter. If you have not made contact with your instructor via email by the FIRST DAY or if you are having trouble with your User Name/Password, contact the TSTC Marshall Department of Distance Learning immediately at (903) 923-3302.
