Bookstore Refunds
TSTC bookstore buys used books at the end of the semester. Dates for buying back books will be posted. A student ID is required to sell back books, but not a sales receipt. The list of books eligible to be bought is prepared from the textbook adoption forms submitted by the program chairs. The bookstore will pay 50% of the retail price of these books limited to the number of books needed for classes next semester. Other materials such as tools, study guides, parts kits, etc. will not be bought. The bookstore also purchases used textbooks for a buy back company. Eligible titles and the amount paid for each book are determined by that company. Students can bring their texts in to be scanned to see if they are eligible. Refund Policy All refunds or exchanges require presentation of a sales receipt. Textbook Refunds Refunds or exchanges can be made during the first twelve class days at the following rates:
Refunds will be conducted the same way the purchase was made. For example, cash purchases will be refunded in cash, credit card purchases will be refunded to the same credit card. Refunds on purchases made by check will not be issued until three weeks from the date of purchase. A credit will then be issued to the student's account and the business office will cut a check after the student's check clears the bank. |
