Articulation (Credit High School Courses) College Connections Dual Credit Texas State Technical College Marshall's College Connections (Dual/Concurrent credit) program allows high school juniors and seniors to take academic and/or technical college courses at reduced or zero tuition. The courses count for high school and college transcript credit, and high school students may include courses in their high school graduation plans that apply toward academic and/or technical degrees. Credit is awarded immediately upon successful completion of the course. For additional information on College Connections visit the Early Admissions webpage. Tech Prep Tech Prep is part of a national education initiative to transform technical education. A Tech-Prep program, as defined in the Technical Education Program Guidelines of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, is a cooperatively developed six-year program of study that begins in the ninth grade and leads to an associate of applied science degree from a public community or technical college. This cooperative arrangement involves business, industry, labor, and secondary and higher education. A Tech Prep Bridge is available for students who do not take the Tech-Prep program in high school. For more information, contact a high school counselor, Director of Collaborative Projects, or TSTC Tech Prep representative. High School Articulation Agreements TSTC has established articulation agreements with various high schools throughout the state. These agreements allow entering students to use their work in pre-determined high school courses for credit in TSTC programs. To determine if a particular high school is participating in this program, contact the high school counselor, Director of Collaborative Projects, or articulation representative. |
