Where geeks go to
manufacture the future.
Use your computer skills to make parts for a whole new career.
Precisely the career you’ve
been looking for.
There has always been a need for skilled machinists, but with the advent of technology the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the industry have increased. Today's Computer Aided Manufacturing machinists must know precision machine tools, equipment and systems and be able to develop programs that will allow them to process metal or plastic parts to engineering specifications.
TSTC offers an associate degree and two certification levels in Computer Aided Manufacturing. Most students take all three programs, which were designed to be completed in progression. Through a unique partnership with HAAS Automation Inc., TSTC has established a regional training facility that enhances the learning experience. In the laboratory, where most of your time will be spent, the machines and software are the same as those used in today's fast-paced and highly-competitive manufacturing environment. As a graduate, you can find excellent career positions in large and small companies throughout Texas - particularly in Marshall-Longview, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston and Austin-Round Rock - as well as nationally.
