Combination Welding Certificate

Texas State Technical College Marshall offers a welding certificate that focuses on combination welding practices used in industry today. The program provides hands-on welding, layout, and fitting skills that are presently used and practiced in today's technology advanced workforce. Extensive training in welding processes, oxy-fuel welding and cutting, shielded metal arc (SMAW), gas metal arc (GMAW), and gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) provides the students with advance insight in understanding how the welding processes work and why certain welding processes are used. As a graduate, you may go to work as a welder in general fabrication shops, on construction sites, in pressure vessel shops or shipyards.

In less than one year the student has skills and knowledge required for the welder qualification test for the American Welding Society.
