Job responsibilities may include analyzing business requirements/rules, process mapping, leading software design teams, and implementing applications to meet business needs and much more. Software Engineering Technology graduates will hold titles such as Business Analyst, Programmer, Database Developer, Systems Analyst, and IT Specialist.

In addition to holding a degree from TSTC, graduates can build skills and credibility in the job market by earning industry certifications. These certifications include: Microsoft Certified Application Developer, Microsoft Certified Professional, CIW Programmer Specialist, and many others.
