As a graduate of the Quality Assurance Certificate program, you may hold positions such as quality control technician, quality control manager, quality assurance inspector, quality auditor or other quality related positions within a company or organization.   • Develop, implement and administer quality assurance and control programs;
  • Apply statistical process control (SPC) processes, charts, and analysis

Salaries & Advancement:

Nationwide a graduate from this certificate program can expect to earn a salary from about $25,000 - $30,000; with an average of about $27,000. Employment opportunities are available nationwide; East Texas has regular advertised opportunities that our graduates from this certificate program would be well qualified. TSTC students overwhelmingly state the top reason they picked TSTC was because of the hands-on experience. While at TSTC, Quality Assurance Certificate program students use many types of equipment and software to gain the competitive edge. These include:

  • GO/NOGO, and various other types of gauges
  • Micrometers and calipers
  • Hardness testers
  • SPC charts, and various quality related software programs

In addition to holding a certificate from TSTC, graduates can gain extra credibility in the job market by holding industry certifications such as Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA); Mechanical Inspector (CMI); or Quality Technician (CQT), offered by the American Society for Quality (ASQ). These endorsements help professionals broaden their career opportunities.
