Dear Prospective Student:

Thank you for your interest in Instrumentation and Process Operations at TSTC Marshall. This program overview is provided to assist you in making an informed decision in a Process Operations or Instrumentation career. It is our hope that Process Operations or Instrumentation will be your choice.

The instructors in our program are dedicated to providing the necessary educational tools, hands-on experience, and technological skills needed to be successful in the dynamic field of engineering technology. We have partnered with several industries to help insure that our programs meet the demands of today's employers. These companies include Eastman, International Paper, Pilgrims Pride, Baker Hughes, Dow Chemical, Plastipak, Entergy, Lone Star Steel, DART, Halliburton, Intel, AMD, Dana Corporation, Texas Utilities, SWEPCO, AEP, Texas Memories System, Koch, BP, Sabine Mining Company, and many others.

The Associate of Applied Science Degree program includes classroom and laboratory instruction that focuses on building experience in these fields. Specifically, classes in the science and art of engineering mechanics, electronics, and statistical process control, prepare the engineering student to use today's technology to create, construct, and maintain the systems that equip the manufacturing plants and research institutions so vital to today's expanding economy.

Our students also have the opportunity to participate in internships and cooperative programs with many of our industry partners.
