Career Outlook

Roles & Responsibilities:

Computer Systems Desktop Support graduates have a wide array of job responsibilities. In the field, the CSDS graduates may install and maintain desktop clients and peripherals, install and administer mobile devices, support network users and even monitor and maintain desktop security. Graduates of the program hold jobs with titles such as:

  • computer support specialist
  • service technician
  • IT technician
  • PC technician
  • help-desk technician
  • computer consultant.

Industry Standards:

In addition to holding a degree from TSTC, graduates can build skills and credibility in the job market by earning industry standard certifications at our VUE testing center. Among the credentials offered through various organizations are CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Network+.
