Basic Machining
The Basic Machining Certificate program is an entry level, 16 semester hour program that could lead to a 40 semester
hour certificate and/or on to an Associate of Applied Sciences degree in Computer Aided Manufacturing. The program prepares basic machine
operators in a machine shop. The fundamentals of general machine shop operations are introduced including lathe, milling, and basic CNC
machine. This program is often used by local businesses to prepare new hires to begin work in their shops.
