Dear Prospective Student:

Thank you for your interest in the Accident Investigation program. At TSTC Marshall, Accident Investigation is one of the programs within the Enterprise Systems Division that includes Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality (EHSQ). Environmental health and safety personnel work in industry to assure worker safety and environmental protection.

The Accident Investigation Specialization addresses the special skills involved in the reconstruction and investigation to accidents in various environments. You will learn proper techniques of site surveys, inspections, investigative techniques and audits as required by federal and state regulatory agencies. You will be trained how to read and interpret Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations, fill out compliance paperwork, perform safety inspections, safety training and investigate accidents.

Our programs offer hands-on training for the techniques used in accident investigation, such as interview techniques, accident recreation, accident scene security and accident mitigation techniques. You will learn computer skills that are needed in the safety industry such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel and compliance spread sheets and compliance e-forms. The training you receive at TSTC will provide you with an up-to-date education in worker safety and accident investigation.
